

Wild Turkey. (Meleagris gallopavo).
Male: 48-50" (122-127cm); female: 35-37" (89-94cm).
The male has a bluish head and red wattles on the throat and foreneck.
The body is iridescent bronze, the primaries and secondaries are barred, and its tail is rust-colored to brown and finely barred, with a narrow black subterminal band and a pale rust tip.
