"Autumn Harvest" - Kreg Harrison - Bronze Sculptor - Sold Out

Ruffed Grouse. (Bonasa umbellus). Lifesize. Bronze with leather hanging strips.

The Ruffed Grouse is the most widely distributed resident game bird on the continent. It is most common in hardwood forests with dense undergrowth, especially where aspens are present.

The Ruffed Grouse may be best known by the male's "drumming" display, heard most often in the spring.

While standing erect on a long, rock, or other elevated site, the male snaps its wings forward producing a distinctive sound like that of a chain saw or tractor starting up.

Lifesize. Includes leather straps to facilitate hanging on a wall. Please call or email for availability.
