Bob Anderson is a veteran of fourteen sheep hunts in Alaska, Yukon Territory, Nowrthwest Territories, Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, and Mongolia. In addition, he has personally followed the North American sheep-hunting scene for almost thirty years.
During that time he has built extensive correspondence with sheep hunters both old and new and has collected notes from huyndreds on interviews and several thousand sheep-hunting -related photographs dating as far back as 1913.
Anderson says. "As much as I enjoy sheep hunting myself, IL am probably more a fan of the sport of sheep hunting and of sheep hunters in particular."
Anderson began hunting, when he was eight years old. On his first sheep hunt in 1973, Anderson, a former college football player, was in his words, "overweight, out of shape, and uninformed. Of course, the results were predictably dismal. But despite the misery, I resolved to try again. It still hasn't gotten any easier!"
Anderson and his wife, Claudia, and son, Tyler, live in Rockwall, Texas.
