"Fox's Blind, the Mankiller Blind, and the Helicopter Blind form virtually an equilateral triangle near Rockport. Inside this quarter-mile triangle is some of the best redfishing water I know.
The grass is lush and the bottom is mucky. On a low tide, all the redfish in the shallow water to the north and east move into this slightly deeper area of grass. The grassy area is attractive to ducks as well, at least when the tide is low enough for them to tipple and reach the vegetation. Ducks gather here in large concentrations.
In this painting, the tide was up and the sprigs were moving and decoying slightly but not coming within easy range. It was almost pass shooting and good only if you had a full-choke 12 and high-base sixes." - John P. Cowan.
