One of the most endearing and unique qualities of any given Sherry Sander sculpture is its ability to draw the viewer in and generate an emotional response.
Her impressionistic approach, while anatomically precise, is more a suggestion of form and design, focusing on the spirit and essence of the animal through movement and expression.
Throughout her career, Sherry has been the recipient of many accolades and awards from such prestigious organizations as the Society of Animal Artists, the American Artists Professional League and The National Academy of Western Art which has awarded her both Gold and Silver Medals.
Sander's sculpture can be found in private and corporate collections including The Buffalo Bill Museum, National Wildlife Art Museum and the Denver Zoo.
